"Casa de Casas" is the story of a young man challenging the traditional food made by his family-run restaurant in favor of his own modernized recipes. It explores the ideas of tradition and family as well as coping with a modern world.
I worked as art director on this piece. It was a lot to handle. We worked extremely hard for three weeks total, and I am extremely proud the result. Our greatest challenge was transforming a restaurant under construction into a traditional Mexican restaurant decked out with Day of the Dead decorations.
Along with that came the responsibilities of cooking all the food for the restaurant to screen printing shirts that sported the "Casa de Casas" logo for the characters to wear to making the restaurant have the appearance of being busy on an extremely small budget.
All in all, it was a fun experience.
